Deep Packet Inspection technologies is unique in today's telecommunications world in that it's one of the few infrastructure investments where a telecom operator can see a return on an investment within the next budget period and at the same time meet new Lawful Interception for IP Services. This webinar focuses on the new telecom operator revenue opportunities made possible by deploying DPI for business intelligence gathering.

Webinar Sessions

DPI for Audience Measurement

One of the new applications of DPI and information extraction technology is audience measurement for the Web, Mobile Web and IPTV. This session will describe how information can be extracted from IP networks and feed audience measurement tools with details on multi-play service usage. We will discuss how this new approach translates into faster reporting, more precise information, and the ability to correlate user behavior across the Internet, IPTV, and mobile terminals. We will also address how user privacy can be ensured through mechanisms such as opt-in and anonymization of data.

Jerome Tollet, CTO and Co-Founder, Qosmos

DPI for Location Service and Customer Satisfaction Measurment

DPI and telecom network monitoring can be used to profile service invocation of premium/high ARPU customers and where they access those services in a mobile environment. For example, what was the customers experience when trying to access a high bandwidth application in an airport (good, bad, successful, not successful, etc.) and more. The results can be used to ensure customers receive consistently excellent services.
