TELCO INTERNAL AUDIT ‘08

NEW CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN GOVERNANCE, RISK MANAGEMENT AND COMPLIANCE

November 10-11, 2008    Marriott East Side, New York, NY

Submit proposals to: www.telestrategies.com/tsiprop
Deadline for submissions is August 6, 2008

Conference Overview

The internal auditors’ job at today’s communications service providers is a difficult one. Charged with evaluating the risks and performance of a carrier’s financial, operational, compliance processes and systems, it requires individuals to have deep industry knowledge of key telco business functions including network operations, customer service, billing, revenue assurance, business intelligence, financial reporting and regulatory affairs. In addition to their audit function, they are also called upon more and more to provide their valuable insight into both process and performance improvements. Adding to their challenge is the fast pace of technical and market change roiling the marketplace and the increased exposure to risk resulting from the migration to IP, the growth in third party content delivery and expanded service offerings.

This November, TeleStrategies will hold a first of its kind educational and networking event focusing on the unique internal auditing requirements of communications service providers. The conference aims to bring together internal auditing professionals from across the communications service provider market place to help them better understand the unique risks within the telco environment, strategies for identifying and controlling them and new ways to bring long term value to the business.

We anticipate that the program will attract between 100 – 140 IA professionals with around 65 percent representing communications service providers. TeleStrategies is certified to provide CPE credits by the National Board of State Accountancies and will be providing them to all conference attendees.

Speaking Opportunities

Below is a list of some of the topics/themes we plan to address at the program. They are suggestions only. If you or someone in your company is interested in presenting at the program, please submit on-line at www.telestrategies.com/tsiprop your proposed session topic(s) and description (around 80 words please) along with the name, title and contact information of the speaker(s). Proposals will not be accepted after the August 6th cutoff date.

In evaluating potential speaking topics, we ask that you challenge both yourself and the audience with a compelling, focused topic. High level, general presentations will not be accepted; the more technical and solution-oriented your talk the better. As always, service provider led presentations/case studies are strongly encouraged and will receive top considerations.
